Josiah + Lindy's Twin Lakes Wedding
Just when I started to lose all hope that 2020 weddings would happen, Josiah + Lindy got the green light (i.e. our state moved to phase 2) to hold their wedding!
While hosting a wedding during a pandemic still comes with challenges, it’s not impossible. Josiah + Lindy pared down their guest list, thankfully had a venue that wasn’t in a densely populated area, and had a stunning wedding day.
In fact, if you are still looking for a gorgeous outdoor venue, you may not have to look any farther! Twin Lakes is a state park just an hour away from Richmond. As you can see, you can host your wedding right on the water and… well, I’ll let the photo’s speak for themselves!
The whole vibe of Josiah + Lindy’s decor was this whimsical, meadowy aesthetic complete with the tree cake stand, soft florals, and long bench seating. I honestly wouldn’t have been surprised is a deer or bunny had hopped right through the ceremony.
I really loved the ethereal, soft green bridesmaids dresses that Lindy picked for the day. They were super elegant but obviously super comfortable on such a hot day!
And of course a lake side first look with their wedding gazebo in the background was a must.
But let’s fast forward to the ceremony. I mean, after all, I’m pretty sure you guys came here for the photos and not to hear me ramble about details, right? Haha.
With such a gorgeous, natural wedding venue we had to take advantage of some sunset-ish photos (we were probably about an hour ahead of actual sunset but we still got a lot of gorgeous golden glows).
