Megan + Stanley's Poe Museum Wedding - Richmond, Virginia
Am I terribly late in showing off Megan + Stanley’s Poe Museum wedding? Yes. Am I going to share it anyway, because it showcases one of my favorite wedding dresses and a super rad couple? Also yes.
Megan + Stanley got married in April of this year and we were still facing some covid restrictions and a new roll out of a vaccine. Despite a few hurdles and an ongoing pandemic, however, there was no shortage of excitement and memorable moments.
The day started out with getting ready and shenanigans at the Quirk Hotel. While Megan and her bridesmaids got ready in a stunning array of cream, blush, and champagne gowns, Stanley and his dudes were… well… rocking out. The enthusiasm for the day was evident and I honestly had a blast hanging out with them all.
After everyone was ready, we all headed over to the Poe Museum, just a few miles away. I got Stanley all set up for the first look and then brought Megan over. As you can see, Stanley was stunned when he saw Megan (and I mean, do you see that dress and headpiece? She looked AMAZING. I, myself, was in awe).
We took a few bridal party portraits prior to arriving at the Poe Museum, but then rounded everything out after Megan + Stanley had their first look.
The ceremony was short and sweet and officiated by a friend of the couple. Honestly, my favorite part was Megan’s reaction after they were walking back down the aisle, newly married.
After the ceremony, we headed back to the Quirk Hotel rooftop for the reception. We were greeted with a gorgeous skyline of the city which couldn't have been a better ending to the night.
