Hi! I’m Sandy, a wedding & portrait photographer specializing in beautiful imagery for elegant weddings & family portraiture in Richmond, Virginia.

The most important thing to me is that your images truly represent you and your loved ones. I aim for real moments, real laughter, & real love. When you book a session or your wedding with me, you won’t have to worry about feeling awkward or unsure of how to pose. I’ll guide you the entire time and give you prompts that will leave you feeling like you actually had fun!

I picked up my first camera in late elementary school when my dad allowed me to experiment with his old Minolta. That is still the camera I use today for film projects!

Those early days spurred a love for capturing moments through a lens that would later bring me to pursue a Fine Arts degree in Photography. I spent 4 years studying painting, sculpture, dark room processes, and studio lighting in addition to being exposed to a whole world of fine art and fashion photographers. It should come as no surprise that one of my biggest artists of influence has remained Richard Avedon. A stunning portrait and fashion photographer who truly had a way of documenting people. These influences can be seen directly in my work, whether that be a wedding day, a family portrait, or a client’s headshot.

My favorite subject to photograph from day one to today is and always will be people. I love to tell stories and capture the essence of a person’s personality or a couple’s relationship. People fascinate me, and when I can get them to open up in front of my camera, it’s truly magical.

I’m a wife and mom of three. Family is truly the most important thing to me alongside my love for photography. The absolute most important thing to me when it comes to my photography is that your images truly represent you and your story. Whether you’re a couple getting married or a family looking to preserve memories in time, I am all about real moments and real laughter. I look to capture genuine emotion from my couples and families.

I take on a limited number of weddings and shoots each year to ensure that I am able to provide the best experience in both my family and professional life. I pour my heart into each of my couple’s wedding photography journey with a personalized experience and accessibility to me through the planning process. When I take on a limited number of bookings, I am able to fully pour that heart into each of my clients.

Hi, I’m Kaytee! I’ve been a photographer and photo booth owner for over fourteen years in Richmond, Virginia. I work behind the scenes with Sandy to polish images and run the back end to ensure each of our couples has a quality experience with our team. My focus is to provide couples with a luxury experience that is custom to their day with one-of-a-kind elements. Whether you are looking for a professional photographer who is organized & creates beautiful imagery on your wedding day, or editorial-style portraits for your guests at the reception, Sandy and I combine professionalism with art as a wedding photography team.

Behind the Lens

I’m a wife and mama of two. I love making everything homemade from sourdough to bagels. I’m working on building a garden for my home where I will spend most of my time with my kids when I am not working on photography. We homeschool in our home, which is an essential part of my work life balance as a business owner and photographer.
